Erling Kagge

Erling Kagge (Norway) is a polar explorer, mountaineer, lawyer, publisher and philosopher. He was the first person in the world to walk alone to the South Pole and to surmount the ‘three poles’—North, South and the summit of Mount Everest. Currently, he is also a successful entrepreneur in Oslo-based publishing house Kagge Forlag, and a keen collector of contemporary art.
